The Vineyard Selection range is made from a selection of superior grapes from premium-quality vineyards. The best oak barrels are used and special attention is given throughout the wine making process. Most of the fruit for this wine was sourced from Kleine Zalze's own vineyards, with a few selected parcels from other Stellenbosch vineyards. After primary fermentation the grapes were gently pressed and transferred to French oak barrels (40% new, 30% second-fill and 30 % third-fill) for 19 months before final blending took place. This wine is a classically structured Cabernet that speaks more of refinement and elegance than of power and weight.
